Optimizing Mentoring Relationships by Aligning Expectations

The goal of this workshop is to provide a structured forum for important discussions about the role that research mentors can play in optimizing mentoring relationships with undergraduates, graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. Participants will be introduced to a framework for aligning expectations in mentoring relationships. After this introduction, participants will engage in conversations and be exposed to tools that can be utilized to prompt proactive and productive conversations about expectations over the course of a mentoring relationship.
